PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve parallelism with respect to the axial direction of the shape at an inner end of a spline hole after forming a caulked section. SOLUTION: A fixture 21 having a projection strip 22 in a part of its inner peripheral surface is engaged with the outer peripheral surface of a raw part that does not undergo heat treatment of a cylindrical section 12 to be used as the caulked section. A part axially inside of an inner end equivalent position 25 equivalent to the axial inner end of the spline hole in a state before forming the spline hole is compressed on the whole circumference. In this state, the spline hole is formed. The fixture 21 is removed from the cylindrical section 12, and then the caulked section is formed at an inner end of a hub 3. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
