<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive recording material which has a high thermal stability, is excellent in raw shelf life, and also, is excellent in light fastness of an image section. <P>SOLUTION: For this heat-sensitive recording material, at least one layer of a heat-sensitive recording layer is provided on a support. In the heat-sensitive recording material, at least one layer of the heat-sensitive recording layer contains a diazonium salt and a coupler compound which makes a color developed by reacting with the diazonium salt. The diazonium salt is at least one kind which is selected from a compound group which is represented by general formula (I) or general formula (II).
