ROLLING METHOD AND ROLLING APPARATUS FOR METALLIC SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling method and a rolling apparatus for a metallic sheet which realize stable production of the metallic sheet having no camber or extremely slight camber.

SOLUTION: The rolling method and rolling apparatus are used to perform rolling by using rolling equipment composed of: a rolling mill for metallic sheets having at least work rolls and back-up rolls; and at least a pair of side guides arranged on the inlet side of the rolling mill, wherein forces in the rolling direction which are caused by holding a material to be rolled between the side guides and act on roll chocks on the work side and the drive side of the work rolls are measured and the right and left asymmetrical components of the opening degree of the rolls of the rolling mill are controlled on the basis of the difference between the forces.
