<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable high-quality print output without depending on a function at the outside in an image reader, and to realize high-productivity print output. <P>SOLUTION: The image reader 1 comprises an image inputting means 11 for optically reading an image for obtaining multi-valued image data; an image processing means 30 for performing image processing including screen processing on the multi-valued image data obtained by the image inputting means 11; a data conversion means 40 for converting image data after the image processing by the image processing means 30 to a format described by a page description language; and an image outputting means 12 for outputting the image data after the conversion by the data conversion means 40 to the outside. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
