<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical image processing method and an apparatus therefor which are capable of reducing the cost of a space filter. <P>SOLUTION: A coherent laser beam is spatially modulated by image information to form an image, and the laser beam is condensed and is caused to pass the space filter to transmit a part of a Fourier transform image, and the image is projected on an imaging surface 7 by the transmitted laser beam to obtain a filter processing image. In this case, the size of the image in the image information is preliminarily is enlarged/reduced and then spatial modulation is performed, and the image projected on the imaging surface 7 is restored to an original size to obtain the filter processing image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
