PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner which has excellent triboelectrostatic chargeability, transportability, developability, transferability, and preservable property and does not give rise to abnormal images due to adhesion to a photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The toner, in which a binder resin is composed of a polyester resin, does not contain a THF insoluble component, has≤4 mass% content ratio of a component below 5×10<SP>2</SP>in weight average molecular weight, and has a main peak in a region of 3×10<SP>3</SP>to 9×10<SP>3</SP>in weight average molecular weight; a charge control agent is a metal salt compound of salicylic acid or salicylic acid derivative; additives contain silica subjected to a hydrophobing treatment of primary particle size 0.01 to 0.03μm and titanium oxide subjected to a hydrophobing treatment of primary particle size 0.01 to 0.03μm and a specific surface area of 60 to 140 m<SP>2</SP>/g; the titanium oxide is formed by subjecting the titanium oxide particulates of≥0.2 mass% in the content of the water soluble component to a surface treatment; the titanium oxide is≥35% in transmittance at 300 nm in a UV absorption method; and the transmittance of 600 nm is≥80%, is provided.
