PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the ventilation of the whole roof including two roof surfaces, which cross each other at the corner ridge of the heat-insulating roof of a wooden building, by enabling the ventilation of the two roof surfaces. SOLUTION: In this building, a spacer 34 is arranged on a corner rafter 31 of a corner ridge 3; the spacer 34 and a sheathing roof board 6 are arranged in the state of being separated from each other, so that a series of ridge-side air passages 35 can be formed above a side surface of the corner rafter 31; a heat-insulating material 5 is arranged between jack rafters 36 so that a void 55 can be formed in the ridge rafter 31; a roof-surface air passage 53 is made to communicate with the passage 35; and outside air from a leading end of the passage 35 ventilates through the roof surface, crossing the corner ridge 3, between the passages 53 and 35, so as to be discharged to the outside, for example, by a ridge ventilator of a main ridge. Additionally, when the same constitution is adopted by installing the spacer on a valley rafter, application to the roof surface crossing a valley enables the ventilation of the roof surface.
