PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength-analyzing apparatus having high performance of speed, accuracy and reliability, and without depending on the temperature. SOLUTION: When a light is forced to be incident on an optical fiber Bragg grating (FBG) 4, the reflected light Or from FBG enters into wavelength filters, such as AWG5, and distortion and the like loading on FBG4 with the light from the wavelength filter is detected; the variation in the wavelength, depending on the temperature of AWG5, is detected by an O/E transducer; and a signal processing circuit 7 and the temperature of AWG5 is controlled by a temperature controlling device 6 so as to hold down the detected error, resulting from the wavelength variations due to its temperature dependence.
