PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a paper presence and absence detection filler from being damaged and broken when performing assembly and maintenance. SOLUTION: A pressurizing plate 32 is formed by resin, a guide hole 54 in which a guide pin 53 which becomes a guide when the pressurizing plate 32 moves between a pressure-contact position and a release position is inserted is formed in the pressurizing plate 32, the direction of pressurization of a pressurizing means 55 is on the same axis as the guide hole 54, and a recessed channel 50 having a bottom face in which the paper presence and absence detection filler 51 enters when there is no paper on the pressurizing plate 32 is formed in the pressurizing plate 32. The direction of pressurization of the pressurizing means 55 acting on the pressurizing plate 32 is on the same axis as a guide hole 54b, and a cam 38 for controlling travel of the pressurizing plate 32 is abutted on the pressurizing plate 32 at a position in the vicinity of the guide hole 54. For this reason, even if the pressurizing plate is formed by resin, deformation does not occur, and the recessed channel 50 having required depth for the resin-made pressurizing plate 32 can be easily formed to prevent damage and breakage which occur due to passing of the paper presence and absence detection filler 51 through the recessed channel 50 when performing assembly.
