PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibacterial material wherein silver fiber paper obtained by mixing a vegetable fiber with a short fiber with a silver-plated core fiber is superposed on a cloth so that both the silver fiber paper and the cloth can be integrated together. SOLUTION: The silver fiber paper 7, which is obtained by mixing the vegetable fiber with the short fiber with the silver-plated core fiber, is superposed on the cloth 8, so that both of the paper 7 and the cloth 8 can be integrated with each other by being joined together with paste. The silver fiber paper 7 exerts a humidity control action, and the cloth 8 exerts necessary strength. The silver fiber paper includes the 7 wt% short fibers or more. More preferably in particular, the silver fiber paper includes the 20 wt% short fibers or more. The silver-plated paper 7 and the cloth 8 can be sewn together so as to be formed into clothes.
