The method involves drawing a partial aim graph and creating a node in a graph for each branch from a software program with instructions. A link is produced between two nodes of branches. Partial aims that are reached and missed during run of the program are determined for each node of the graph. The program is run with a test case and the graph is used to evaluate the run of the program. An independent claim is also included for a computer program product comprising software sections in an internal memory of a computer for executing a method for testing a software program.
