<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner supply device in which an amount of toner supplied to a developing unit during one rotation can be stabilized and toner can steadily be supplied to the developing unit even with a toner container that is half used. <P>SOLUTION: A DC motor which rotates a toner container is driven according to a pulse width modulation signal. The rotating speed of the toner container is detected during the first rotation of the toner container.
