<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting control system which is suitable for a multi-lamp system and appropriately lights and/or controls lighting relatively narrow range around the user in performing lighting and/or lighting control automatically of a lighting apparatus by recognizing presence of a user. <P>SOLUTION: Conventionally, an apparatus side makes an active detection such as by a thermal sensor and the user informs its presence actively by a remote control or the like. In this device, a lighting control device 4 is installed on a lighting apparatus L and responding to a search signal from this lighting control device 4, an ID card 2 carried by the user performs radio communication periodically and during its communication, a lighting means 3 is lighted and/or controlled of lighting.
