PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can stably remove discharge products sticking on the surface of a latent image carrier without increasing intricacy during use nor making the apparatus large-sized and perform stable image formation for a long period without damaging the latent image carrier nor causing an image defect. SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus which uses an electrophotographic process, a developing means 4 is provided with a developer discharge part 4a which discharges a deteriorated developer, and a waste developer conveyance path 9 is provided to convey the waste developer discharged from the developer discharge part 4a.
