<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To newly provide an apparatus for estimating and analyzing the physical properties of a cholesteric liquid crystal, having asymmetry in molecular designing of a new cholesteric liquid crystal compound, having physical characteristics with respect to the cholesteric liquid crystal, and to provide an apparatus for predicting the three-dimensional conformational structure of a molecule. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for analyzing and estimating physical characteristics containing the three-dimensional conformation of a series of cholesteric liquid crystal molecules having a common skeleton, is provided with a device for extracting bands, having significant difference from bands obtained from an infrared circle dichroic spectrum measuring instrument; a device for plotting the intensities of the extracted bands; a device for obtaining physical correlation data and the device connected from the device, which plots the extracted intensities of the bands, in parallel with the device for obtaining the physical property correlation data to inspect the matching of the actually measured infrared circle dichroic spectrum of the liquid crystal molecule or the like, having asymmetry and candidate three-dimensional conformation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
