PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an electrostatic charge image developing toner which is uniform in the shapes and sizes of particles, is free of variation in electrostatic charge performance, is excellent in transferability to a transfer material and hardly gives rise to fusion to a blade. SOLUTION: In manufacturing the electrostatic charge image developing toner by mixing molten and kneaded matter containing a synthetic resin and a colorant and an aqueous medium including a hardly water soluble inorganic dispersant while applying a shearing force thereto under heating, an alcohol, more preferably≥3C alcohol, is added to the water dispersion of the hardly water soluble inorganic dispersant. As a result, the foaming due to bumping of water when the molten and kneaded matter and the aqueous medium of the hardly water soluble inorganic dispersant are mixed under heating is prevented and eventually the coarsening of the synthetic resin particles having tacky adhesiveness in a molten state by adhering to each other is prevented and the desired electrostatic charge image developing toner which is uniform in the shapes and sizes of the particles and is excellent in the various performances as the electrostatic charge developing toner can be efficiently manufactured.
