PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-shielding and heat-shielding tape yarn and a light-shielding and heat-shielding net that have high tensile strength as well as excellent weather resistance and can reduce the costs and the weight. SOLUTION: The light-shielding film is obtained by adhering aluminum foil to the easy adhesion treated face of a light stabilizer-including and uniaxially oriented high-density polyethylene film so that gloss face of the aluminum foil may turn toward the treated face by dry lamination and further by wet-lamination a polyethylene resin to the dull face of the foil. Then, the light-shielding film is cut or thermally cut in the longitudinal direction to obtain a light-shielding tape yarn and the light-shielding tape yarns are used as weft and warp or as insertion yarn or they are partially used and the light-shielding and heat-shielding nets are woven or knitted.
