PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receptacle connector and the plug connector which, while thinning it, keep high holding power of a plug connector in its pulling direction, easily confirm its engagement, and cause no incomplete engagement even when groping for engagement work. SOLUTION: This receptacle connector 100 with a latch arm is equipped with a receptacle connector body 110 having a groove 111 to be inserted with the plug connector 200, a contact 120 provided in the receptacle body, and a pair of latch arms 130 which extends toward one side in the depth direction from two positions spaced in the width direction and which can elastically deform in the width direction, in the receptacle connector body. A pressing part 131 is provided in each latch arm 130, and a guide part 131a, a stationary side locking face 131b, and a stationary side depth locking face 131c, are provided in the pressing part.
