PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support with improved production efficiency by reviewing the structure of a seal ring that has been difficult to manufacture so as to provide the seal ring with universality to manufacture it simply in shorter time. SOLUTION: This support comprises a piston 3 installed on an object 1, a base pot 5 installed on the base 4, in which the piston 3 is engaged to be capable of reciprocating, and an elastic member 6 provided between the piston 3 and the base pot 5. In a circular circumferential groove 3m formed at a contact part of the elastic member 6 to the piston 3, the seal ring 7 having an outer circumferential surface to be pressed to an inner circumferential surface of the base pot 5 is provided. The seal ring 7 comprises a braided structure formed of a plurality of yarns braided with each other, and filler charged between the yarns at the end surface of the braided structure to form a cord-shaped seal member 8 that is harder than the elastic member, and it is rolled into a ring shape.
