AUSTENITIC STAINLESS STEEL SHEET FOR REFLECTING MIRROR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an austenitic stainless steel sheet for a reflecting mirror without giving rise to chatters which are extremely difficult to be removed by polishing and without giving rise to a rough surface in convex type press molding. SOLUTION: Copper components are individually restricted to appropriate ranges and more particularly an amount of S is limited to≤0.010%; in addition an X value (X=3.2Cr+4.8Si+3.2Mo+1.6Nb+1.6Ti-2.5Ni-1.25Mn-75C-75N-0.75Cu) is confined to≤31.7 and further, an austenitic crystal grain size is controlled to 7.0 to 8.5.
