PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for coating a steel cord, improved with fatigue resistance, aiming at a light weight and improving initial bonding performance to the steel cord and deterioration resistant bonding property, and a steel cord/rubber composite material consisting of the rubber composition and the steel cord. SOLUTION: This rubber composition for coating the steel cord is provided by blending collagen particles having≤20μm mean particle diameter.
