PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven parking brake device capable of making proper the timing of automated actuation of parking brake 19. SOLUTION: The motor-driven parking brake device 1 is to make automated actuation of the parking brake 19 of a vehicle. When the vehicle is judged to be in the stop condition and then a brake pedal in the stamped-in condition is returned in the disengaging direction to attain the prescribed position, the parking brake device 1 starts the automatic actuation of the parking brake. Therefore, the automatic actuation of the parking brake 19 is conducted upon confirming the driver's will of disengaging the brake pedal. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
