PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print an image on a sheet and to make a booklet easily from that sheet. SOLUTION: The printer has a cut mode and a booklet mode wherein a sheet 20 is separated between respective images by means of a cutter 40 in the cut mode, and a crease is formed between respective images in the booklet mode. The crease is formed by overheating the sheet 20 between respective images by means of a thermal head 30 or by half cutting the sheet 20 between respective images by means of the cutter 40. Alternatively, the crease may be formed by perforating the sheet 20 between respective images using a means for perforating the sheet 20. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
