<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical stapler and its operating unit capable of performing an operation of a clamping body for clamping suture objects with force smaller than the conventional one. <P>SOLUTION: This surgical stapler 10 is constituted of a toggle mechanism 34 converting the rotational movement of an opening/closing operation lever 33 into a linear movement of a linear movement body 16 by a pair of toggle links 41 and 42 and an orthogonal link 44 so as to relatively strongly push the linear movement body 16 to the side of the operating part 11 by relatively small operating force to the opening/closing operation lever 33. This constitution can perform an operation of clamping the suture objects 90A and 90B between a movable clamping body 15 and a stationary clamping body 17. The pair of toggle links 41 and 42 are formed into approximately same lengths to efficiently convert the rotational operating force of the opening/closing operation lever 33 into the linear movement driving force of the movable clamping body 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
