INTERNAL PROPELLING DEVICE FOR ENDOSCOPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal propelling device for an endoscope to be easily waterproofed for permitting washing and sterilization without unnecessarily widening the distal end of an endoscope.

SOLUTION: A nearly cylindrical rotary member 17 with a ring-shaped magnet 16 implanted on the inner surface is rotatably mounted on the outer surface of the distal end 5 of the endoscope 2 in such a way as held between fixing members 19 and 29. The rotary member 17 is rotated together with the magnet 16 as a magnetic field to magnetically rotate the magnet 16 is applied to the magnet 16 by rotating a rod-like magnet 23 disposed inside a channel 13 of the endoscope 2 by a motor 24. Then, the rotary member is propelled inside a body cavity with a spiral projecting part 18 on the outer surface of the rotary member 17.
