PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress screen freezing in receiving digital broadcast. SOLUTION: The digital broadcast is received by an antenna 10 and a tuner 11, and a TS packet taken out by OFDM demodulation is stored in an FIFO control unit 32. This complement correction processor 33 compares this storage order with order information included in the TS packet, and correction or complement of the TS packet is executed if inconsistency occurs. Further, the receiver has an MPEG 4 decoder 35 in addition to an MPEG 2 decoder 22. If an error region exists in MPEG 2 video data, a video processor 36 executes complement of a video image by using a corresponding region of MPEG 4 video data. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
