NEW ADDITIVE FOR LUBRICANT AND FUEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an additive for a lubricant, not being disadvantageous in a cost, preventing deposits and heightening dispersibility. SOLUTION: A multifunctional composition usable as the additive for a fuel or the lubricant is provided. The composition contains an amination product obtained by reacting a mixture containing an aliphatic polyamine and an aromatic polyamine, with a hydrocarbyl-substituted succinic acylating agent. The molar ratio of the aliphatic polyamine to the aromatic polyamine in the mixture ranges from about 10:0.1 to about 0.1:10. The amination reaction product contains about 0.1 molar equivalent polyamine mixture to 1 molar equivalent hydrocarbyl-substituted succinic acylation agent. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
