PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in a heat insulating casing of a refrigerator where an outer case and an inner case are fitted and a foam heat insulating material is packed therebetween, that as the foam heat insulating material 5 is not intruded into a double flange 6 of the outer case, the inside of the double flange 6 is hollow, the air convection is generated in the hollow part, and the cold of a freezing chamber part is leaked to a chillroom part through the hollow part. SOLUTION: In this heat insulating casing formed by inserting a flange 7 of the inner case 2 provided with a projecting part (projection 7a) into the double flange 6 of the outer case 3, fitting the outer case 3 and the inner case 2, and packing the foam heat insulating material 5 between the outer case 2 and the inner case 3, a convection intercepting part (weir part 8) is mounted on the flange 7 of the inner case 2 for preventing the flow of the air in the double flange 6.
