PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container collecting device capable of feeding a container to a volume reducing unit without utilizing any free fall. SOLUTION: The container collecting device constituted so that thrown-in containers are sorted to ones to be collected and the other not to be collected, containers 9 sorted to be collected are delivered to a predetermined receiving position, and the volume thereof is reduced by a volume reducing unit 8 so as to collect them, includes a shooter 57 which extends between the receiving position and the feeding position leading to the volume reducing unit 8, and receives the containers 9 sorted at the receiving position, and a feeding means which has a pusher 58 movable along the shooter 57 and feeds the containers 9 sorted to the shooter 57 to the volume reducing unit 8 by the movement of the pusher 58 in a sliding manner.
