PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problem that cable wirings for acquiring a large quantity of patient data in a surgery room or the like and transmitting to an evaluation unit are complicated and rob a surgeon or a clinical staff of freedom. SOLUTION: A patient monitoring apparatus includes more than one transducer for one patient, one transmission device for one patient and one reception device which is remote therefrom and to which one evaluation unit is connected. The transmission unit has a memory and stores one identification code. The reception unit has the memory and has one keypad used to input one identification code into its memory. One radio link between the transmission unit and the reception unit is set up only when the identification codes are identical. If the radio link is interrupted for a prescribed period, the identification code in the reception unit is automatically erased, and can be set up again only after the appropriate identification code is inputted again to the reception unit.
