ULTRASONIC DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnosis system capable of reducing possibility of an mispuncture of a puncture needle when puncturing an observing site while observing a living body. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus comprises an ultrasonic probe for transmitting and receiving ultrasonic waves to and from a subject, a puncture assisting device installed on the ultrasonic probe for holding the puncture needle and for guiding and advancing the puncture needle in the puncture direction, and a main unit connected electrically to the ultrasonic probe to generate and display a diagnostic image on the basis of the output from the ultrasonic probe. The main unit is provided with a limit indicator generating means for generating a reachable limit indicator that shows the reachable limit of the puncture needle on the basis of information stored in the main unit of the puncture needle held by the puncture assisting device, and a display processing means for compositing and displaying the reachable limit indicator on the diagnostic image.
