PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium processing device capable of smoothly and efficiently conveying and processing a recording medium while preventing occurrence of its bending and distortion in a loop forming unit for adjusting and integrating conveyance of the recording mediums conveyed at conveyance speed being different depending on a first processing part and a second processing part. SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with the first processing part 1A for applying first processing on the sheet-like recording medium M, the second processing part 1D for applying second processing on the recording medium M, and the loop forming unit 1C provided between both processing parts and conveying the recording medium while absorbing difference in processing speed of the recording medium in the first and second processing parts by stacking the recording mediums M like a loop. A loop control part controls stack amount like the loop variably based on elastic stress of the recording medium M in the loop forming unit 1C to avoid occurrence of wrinkle due to the elastic stress of the recording medium M.
