PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress opening of a rear door, by preventing the damage of a locking mechanism by effectively controlling the deformation of a vehicle body at rear face collision. SOLUTION: In the vehicle body, a fragile section 9 is formed near the lower part of the locking mechanism 5 allowing the rear door to be locked to a door closed state and on the locking mechanism side of a bumper bracket 2 interposed between a rear frame 1 extending in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body and a bumper beam 3 extending in the lateral direction of the vehicle body. The bumper bracket 2 is deformed on the locking mechanism side by an impact load from the backside, and a bumper member such as the bumper beam 3 is deformed and moved to the locking mechanism side, thereby blocking the locking mechanism. Thus, the locking mechanism can effectively be suppressed from opening the rear door 6 or the like indiscriminately. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
