<p>An article carrier (7) for packaging a plurality of cylindrical articles (3) each having an upper portion including radially protruding part (5). The article carrier includes a top panel (8), a side panel (12, 14) hingedly connected to one (11) of opposed side edges of the top panel, a handle (9, 9) provided for the top panel, article-receiving apertures (16) formed in the top panel to receive the upper portions of the articles respectively, and article-engaging tabs (18) extending from the side panel (12, 14) to engage undersides (5a) of the radially protruding parts (5) of the articles to retain the upper portions in the apertures. The U-shaped edge of each aperture includes a medial portion (16a) and a pair of opposed end portions (16b, 16b). The respective tab (18) extends upwardly and inwardly from the side panel beyond the one side edge (11) of the top panel (8).</p> |
