<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the object registration of peripheral equipment without requiring a user to prepare a driver file unique to the additional peripheral equipment to be required by OS in the case of performing a set-up work to register the peripheral equipment in the OS. <P>SOLUTION: When an information processor 2 is connected to a printer 3, a printer driver starting part 13 starts a printer driver A10. Then a driver file control part 17 checks whether the driver file corresponding to the printer 3 which is recognized by a printer recognizing part 11 is stored and held in a driver file storage part 14 or not. When the driver file is not stored and held, a driver file requesting part 16 transmits the request of the driver file to the printer 3. The printer 3 transfers the driver file to the information processor 2. The driver file control part 17 stores and holds the driver file in a driver file storage part 14.
