<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately identify a cargo to be carried in accordance with read data for an electronic tag even at a higher carrying speed than conventional one or at a smaller cargo-to-cargo space than conventional one. <P>SOLUTION: This device comprises a first cargo sensor 3 for measuring the speed and length of a cargo 2, an antenna 6 for communication with the electronic tag 5, a second cargo sensor 7 for detecting the cargo when entering into an antenna communicative area, a reader 8 for executing scanning with the antenna, and a cargo/electronic tag identifying part 9 for actuating the reader each time when the cargo enters into the communicative area, calculating an in-area existence time when the cargo is in the communicative area, finishing the scanning when the in-area existence time passes since starting the scanning, and coordinating the electronic tag to the corresponding cargo in accordance with a time when the cargo enters into the communicative area and the in-area existence time and a time when starting the detection of the electronic tag and its detection time after a preset time passes since the cargo passes through the communicative area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
