PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of easily determining a mounting position of a temperature sensor 32 for controlling frost prevention and accurately and adequately performing the detection to cope therewith. SOLUTION: The plurality of temperature sensors 32 are mounted, and the supply of refrigerant to an evaporator 9 side is stopped when the lowest temperature among the detected temperatures of the plurality of temperature sensors 32 is lower than a set temperature. By mounting the plurality of (two or more) temperature sensors 32, though one temperature sensor 32 is used conventionally, the frost prevention controllability can be improved. As the operation/stop of a compressor is controlled by constantly detecting the lowest temperature, the frost can be surely prevented regardless of the variation of temperature distribution of the evaporator 9 by the change of operating conditions. Further as the temperature of a lowest part can be constantly detected even when the temperature distribution of the evaporator 9 is changed, a set temperature of the temperature sensor 32 can be turned down, and a blowout temperature can be kept low in cooling.
