摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which has a high gradation by performing a gamma correction by the optimum intrinsic factor at each color image signal for constituting a video signal and each region responding to the size of the video signal in the display device of combined use type in which the pulse width and the amplitude value of the drive current of the display unit are made variable. SOLUTION: The display device includes a first gamma control unit which uses a unique first factor for distinct first color signal for every region, performs a gamma control and outputs a first correction signal by dividing a first color signal for constituting a given video signal according to the size into N pieces of regions, a second gamma control unit which uses a unique second coefficient for distinct second color signal different from the first coefficient at each region, performs a gamma control in each region and outputs a second correction signal at each region by dividing a second color signal different from the first color signal according to the size into N pieces of regions, a formation unit which forms a driving signal having a distinct amplitude value at each of N pieces of regions according to the first and second correction signals from the first and second gamma correction units, and a display unit which displays the image according to the driving signal from the formation unit.
