PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a double-folded portable telephone set in which a liquid crystal display screen can be seen even in a closed state and which has few design constraints, and whose power consumption in the closed state can be suppressed. SOLUTION: A display hole 19 smaller than a large liquid crystal screen 17 is arranged in a ten key side casing 21, when the portable telephone set 1 is closed, it is possible to see through a portion of a screen area (partial display area 17a) of the large liquid crystal screen 17 from the outside of the key key side casing 21 through the display hole 19, and when the portable telephone set 1 is closed, only the partial display area 17a is displayed and the other areas of the large liquid crystal screen 17 are not displayed.
