PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image transmission apparatus capable of storing faxed image with a simple operation by a user. SOLUTION: A flowchart for indicating operations of a MFP 100 includes: a step S121 of reading an original image in the case of carrying out faxing; a step S123 of carrying out ordinary transmission; a step S127 of thereafter processing transmitted image data into a high compression PDF file; and steps S129, S131 of transmitting the file to a PC of a person to which the image data are faxed to store the file therein.
