PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a merchandise storage device for an automatic vending machine which corresponds to a plurality of kinds of merchandises without causing a problem in the strength of a passage configuration element and increases the number of storage of the merchandises. SOLUTION: In a merchandise storage rack 10, a merchandise storage passage 12 is partitioned between a pair of mutually facing base side boards 11, a mobile side board 40 is movably arranged in a state where the side board 40 performs approach/separation to/from the base side boards 11, and a merchandise passage width between the base side boards 11 is changed by moving the mobile side board 40. The mobile side board 40 comprises a first mobile side board 140 to be alternatively arranged via a holding means at each one of a division position which is separated from one base side board 11 and a saving position which is adjacent to one base side board 11; and a second mobile side board 240 connected to the first mobile side board 140 via a link mechanism 50 in a state where the side board 240 is moved in parallel with the first mobile side board 140.
