COOLING STRUCTURE OF CYLINDER BLOCK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure capable of uniformly cooling a cylinder block. SOLUTION: A cooling structure 1 of a cylinder block is equipped with a cylinder block 10 provided with water jackets 12 successively around a bore wall 11b and a hole 13h for leading a cooling medium from a water pump in the water jacket 12, and with a water jacket spacer 20 inserted in the water jacket 12. The water jacket spacer 20 is provided with a cooling medium passage 23. Cold cooling water from the water pump is taken in the cooling medium passage 23. In the vicinity of the hole 13a, the bore wall 11b is prevented from being brought into direct contact with the cold cooling medium. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
