A briquette for a raw material of a metal, which is produced by a method comprising the steps of impregnating a powder dust containing a metal powder with a solidification auxiliary containing sodium silicate before or after the compression molding of the powder dust, and finally drying them. The above briquette can be suitably used for effectively re-utilizing a powder dust containing a metal powder.
