In a process to improve the antioxidant nutrition of domestic animals e.g. cats and dogs and farm animals, the food is enriched by Vitamin E in plasma. The Vitamin E component is Tocotrienol and/or Tocopherol, given oral or parenteral in various concentrations as an oily substance or dissolved in water. The dose is given to domestic animals such as dogs and cats, cage birds, aquarium fish, horses and agricultural animals e.g. beef cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, fowl or fish. The Vitamin E is introduced with food. The Vitamin E enhances the quality of food products such as milk, meat or eggs destined for human consumption. |
