PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical material which has a crosslinked structure having a polyalkylene oxide as the main skeleton and excels in biocompatibility.
SOLUTION: This crosslinked structure is obtained by crosslinking a polyalkylene oxide having primary hydroxy groups in the side chains with an epoxy compound through an ether bond. Since the crosslinked structure uses the epoxy compound, new hydroxy groups are formed after crosslinking; therefore the increase in fat-solubility by using a crosslinking agent is inhibited, and furthermore excellent compatibility with body fluids and living tissues can be maintained even after crosslinking.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
