<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical fluorescent lamp suitable as a general lighting device, performing a protection operation at life end. <P>SOLUTION: The fluorescent lamp device comprises a fluorescent lamp 32 composed of a fluorescent lamp main body 32a formed by sealing a hot-cathode type electrode at both ends of a discharge tube made of glass having a diameter of 23 mm or less, a metal fitting base body having an inner space, made of resin mounted on the end part of the discharge tube, and a metal fitting 32b supported by the metal fitting base body, including contact pieces 2b connected to both ends of the hot-cathode type electrode of the fluorescent lamp main body, and a socket 31 having a heat sensing element 33 arranged on a socket main body 31a at the part near to the hot-cathode type electrode of the fluorescent lamp main body 32a, in a state that the socket base body 31a made of insulating material, a holder held by the socket main body, and the fluorescent lamp 32 are mounted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
