<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a disk original capable of microprocessing pits, grooves or visual information, and to provide a disk original and a simplified cutting apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: Microprocessing of a disk is possible by using a so-called self focus exposure apparatus characterized in that a thermally variable inorganic resist applied on a disk original is exposed to laser light and that the focus of the laser light is controlled by the returning laser light. Further, the apparatus varies the spot diameter by changing the laser power and thereby, can change the pit size or the groove width. Thus, visual information with multilevel contrast can be easily formed on cutting the visual information by combining a mirror unit and gradations of the pits and grooves. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
