<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem, wherein when a conventional mobile phone in which light is emitted by common backlight to two liquid crystal panels, battery power consumption is high, as each light source of the backlight is always fully turned on in power-on condition. <P>SOLUTION: A display module of the mobile phone comprises a light source unit, including a plurality of LEDs 51 to 55 for generating light for displaying an image to the liquid crystal panel; a display mode switching part 13 for switching the display mode applied, when the image is displayed in the liquid crystal panel; and a control circuit 12 for controlling the number of on-state of the plurality of the LEDs 51 to 55, according to the display mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
