<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically perform proper charging operation and proper discharging operation, without the need for manual operation by improving a technology, regarding the starting/stopping of an apparatus built-in type battery power supply. <P>SOLUTION: An AC-DC converter output voltage sensor 15 for detecting the voltage Vad of a charging power supply is provided. An auxiliary power supply switch 13 is operated to be opened or closed according to its output voltage via a start circuit 14, and the charging operation of the battery B is started according to the state of the battery by operating the charging/discharging control circuit 11, when voltage becomes the voltage Vad. Further, a battery voltage sensor 18 for detecting the voltage of the battery B is provided.
