ENCRYPTION DEVICE AND IMAGE-FORMING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an encryption device capable of preventing a cryptographic key code from leaking outside, and to provide an image-forming device.

SOLUTION: The cryptographic key code is stored in a volatile memory mounted onto a substrate by solder, and the output of the backup battery of the volatile memory is used. The backup battery is connected to the volatile memory via a wiring pattern on the substrate. Separation from the substrate cannot be made while a connection state is maintained, and the cryptographic key code is erased even if the volatile memory is separated from the substrate.
